The Holy Quran The Quran is a message from Allah (God) to humanity. It was transmitted to us in a chain starting from the Almighty Himself to the Archangel Jibreel (Gabriel) to Prophet Muhammad (saws) and then to us.The message was reavealed to prophet (saws) in pieces over a period spanning approximately 23 years. The Prophet was 40 years of age when the Qur'an began to be revealed to Him which was during 610 AD, and the revelation was completed when he was 63 years of age and he passed away.The two most important things in ISLAM are:1. The Holy Quran, which is Allah's word and divine source of guidance for all of us.2. The Sunnat (Sunnah) of our beloved Prophet Muhammed (Peace be upon Him)The best way to understand Quran is in the Arabic, the original language. However not everyone understands it, therefore, it becomes necessary for us to refer to the translations of the Holy Quran in our own language!But with three considerations:1. No one knows best except Allah.2. No translation / transliteration can match the accuracy of the original text (Arabic) because of literary constraints.3.
